Erika started dancing when she was three-years-old, training in ballet and “folklore,” a Haitian dance style. At twelve she began to learn jazz, contemporary, modern and hip hop at Jean Rene Delsoin’s Dance Academy, where she later became a member of JRD’s Dance Company. Due to the earthquake in 2010, Erika moved to Charlottesville, VA. Dancing in JRD’s company was a big part of “home” for her. Erika began dancing again at the end of her senior year and decided to continue to do so in college. This led her to GUDC, and she is very happy about that!
